Grand France Day Eleven – Lyon

We have all died and gone to Foodie Heaven.  Lyon is the culinary centre of France and some of us spend the entire day at the amazing Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse.  Food glorious food.  Frogs legs, snails, chocolates, chocolates and more chocolates, macarons, macarons and more macarons, foie gras, cheese – yes please.  Freshly shucked oysters and a glass of champagne at 10.00am – oh alright, if you insist.

And did we mention the shopping – we are perfectly timed for the ‘soldes’.

So much to see and do in this wonderful city – the Murals of Lyon, the museums, this is a place so rich in history. And the local people, as usual, just so friendly and helpful.
